My name is Shruti Desai.  I have lived in different cities in culturally distinct countries across two continents and this indirectly serves as a model of inspiration.

In middle of trying and experimenting with many things, I have found balance in art and science by traveling, discovering philosophies, reading books, meeting new people as I go.

This website is product of merging mainly two art types: oil paintings and photography; but also has all the different things I try out.

At the age of 13, I started oil painting and I hope to make my audience feel and experience emotions through my work.

More than a decade ago, with my first DSLR, photography became very important part of my life, these days however my smartphone camera is my constant companion. I like to capture candid moments which seem important to ponder upon and sometimes this leads to creative thinking which brightens my day.

I spend my free time traveling, reading and experiencing life without the confinements of socioeconomic borders.
I feel rejuvenated when I travel through narrow streets of villages on foot, or go hiking, or simply just sit in a garden watching clouds drift away. Attempting to live my life in the most basic way, putting myself in other people’s shoes, trying to broaden my experience and keep learning.

I guess the lack of monotony in my life is reflected in my work eh?, why pursue or restrict to one form when you can experience many?
